Click-Through Rate
Definition
Click-Through Rate (CTR) is a metric that measures the frequency with which users click on a specific link or call to action after viewing it.
This rate is calculated by dividing the number of clicks a link receives by the number of times that link is shown or impressions. It's expressed as a percentage. A higher CTR generally indicates that the content or advertisement is relevant and engaging to the audience.
For instance, if an advertisement is shown 100 times and receives 5 clicks, its CTR would be 5%.
This metric is commonly used in digital marketing, email campaigns, and search engine results pages to evaluate the performance of online advertisements and content.
