Data Literacy

Definition

Data literacy is the ability to read, work with, analyze, and communicate with data.

This skill set involves understanding what data represents, how to access and organize it, and how to draw meaningful conclusions from it. It also includes the capacity to explain these findings to others, even those who may not be data experts.

For instance, a business manager might use data literacy to interpret sales reports and identify trends that inform marketing strategies.

The term is frequently encountered in professional environments across various sectors, including business, research, education, and government.
