Retargeting is a form of online advertising that displays ads to users who have previously interacted with a website or mobile application.
This advertising strategy involves placing cookies on a user's browser when they visit a specific site. If the user later navigates to other websites or uses other applications, the retargeting platform serves them advertisements for the products or services they previously viewed. The goal is to re-engage potential customers and encourage them to complete a desired action, such as making a purchase or signing up for a service.
For example, if a user browses for a specific pair of shoes on an e-commerce site but does not buy them, they might later see ads for those same shoes on a news website they are visiting.
