The incident unfolded on the evening of April 19, 2022, when the five-year-old girl was reported missing from her home. She was later located in a distressed state. During the initial police inquiry, her older brother, aged 10, shared critical observations that proved instrumental in guiding investigators. He informed the police that his sister had been taken to a "blue room" located within a neighbour's house. Crucially, he also mentioned a distinct feature of the location: a "broken wall" or a "crack in the wall." These details, though seemingly minor, provided concrete leads in a challenging environment.

Upon receiving this information, a dedicated team comprising investigators from the Outer North district’s cyber unit and local police personnel was immediately mobilized. The officers recognized the potential accuracy and specific nature of the child's account, which offered tangible physical descriptions in an otherwise vague situation. Faced with the daunting task of searching a densely populated residential area, the police operation commenced with a meticulous door-to-door canvassing effort, specifically targeting homes that matched the unique identifiers of a "blue room" and a "broken wall."
