KARACHI, Pakistan – A retired security official involved in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects was fatally shot by unidentified gunmen in Karachi on Friday, June 14, 2024. Brigadier (retd) Mansoor Ahmed, who served as an official contributing to CPEC initiatives, was targeted outside his residence in the port city of Karachi. The injured officers were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Two of the five police personnel are reported to be in critical condition, requiring intensive care.
