Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to flag off four new Amrit Bharat Express trains, marking a significant expansion of India's railway network and passenger services. The Amrit Bharat Express series is designed to offer an upgraded travel experience at an accessible price point for the general public. These non-AC trains are equipped with Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches, known for their superior safety features and improved ride quality compared to older conventional coaches. Each rake typically features 22 coaches, including a mix of unreserved and sleeper classes, ensuring capacity for a broad spectrum of travelers. A notable technical feature is the provision of push-pull locomotives at both ends, which facilitates quicker acceleration and deceleration, and eliminates the need for loco reversal at terminal stations, thereby reducing turnaround times and enhancing operational efficiency. This design allows for sustained speeds of up to 130 km/h on suitable tracks.

The introduction of these four new routes will significantly boost connectivity between several important cities and regions across India.   • Alipurduar – SMVT Bengaluru: This route is set to connect Alipurduar in North Bengal with Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) in Bengaluru, Karnataka, a major technology and economic center in South India. The service is expected to pass through significant junctions like Malda Town.
  • Alipurduar – Panvel: This train will establish a direct link between Alipurduar, West Bengal, and Panvel, a critical railway station in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region of Maharashtra, offering enhanced access to India's financial capital.
  • New Jalpaiguri – Nagercoil: Connecting New Jalpaiguri (NJP), a major railway junction in West Bengal and a gateway to the Northeast, with Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu, located near the southern tip of the Indian subcontinent.
  • New Jalpaiguri – Tiruchirappalli: This service will further strengthen connectivity from North Bengal (NJP) to Tamil Nadu, specifically to the historic and culturally significant city of Tiruchirappalli (Trichy), improving access for travelers between these regions.

Following the formal flagging-off ceremony by Prime Minister Modi, Indian Railways is expected to release comprehensive operational details, including precise schedules, intermediate stoppages, and ticketing information for each of these new Amrit Bharat Express services.
