Factors Leading to Distinguishability

Despite these capabilities, several factors often make AI-generated stories distinguishable from those written by human authors:

• Emotional Depth and Nuance: Human authors draw from a lifetime of personal experience, complex emotions, and understanding of the human condition to imbue their characters and plots with profound emotional resonance. AI often struggles to convey genuine empathy, subtle subtext, or the full spectrum of human feeling in a way that feels authentic and non-formulaic.
